Teething Bling is a brand of Smart Mom Jewelry, which calls its creations “the original patent-pending teething jewelry.” They’re popular with celebrity moms such as Tori Spelling, Angela Bassett, Ming Na, Kellie Martin and more.

The company’s designs include large silicone shapes such as colorful heart and circle pendants hung by a sturdy cord on a breakaway clasp. The necklaces are non-toxic with no phthalates, BPA, PVC or lead. There are also bracelets (bangles) and keychains. The Teething Bling necklaces run about $20.

Teething Bling is not intended to be worn by children, but rather on the parent so that the baby can reach for it and gnaw on it. Since babies naturally grab at jewelry and glasses, teething necklaces are a great idea.

Another distinctive and functional piece of jewelry for mothers of teething babies is the Oh Plah! teething bracelet. A raised floral, bird or other design is featured on the cuff-style bracelet. Five colors are available, and the bracelet retails for $19.99.

The teething bracelets are of medical-grade molded plastic and have no paints, lead, latex, PVC, BPA or phthalates. They are made in the United States, and Oh Plah! bracelets, by Roundhouse Design Collaborative, can be shipped back to the maker, free of charge, to be recycled once it is no longer needed by the wearer and teething baby.

Oh Plah is French for “Here you go.” The bracelet can also function as a reminder for nursing mothers, as it can be easily moved from one wrist to the other to indicate which side to feed from next.
